Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Systems Engineer I for the Mission Systems Airborne and Ground Communication Products Dept. The role focuses on designing military software-defined radio solutions and interfacing with multi-discipline teams to deliver total system solutions for domestic and international customers.

You will contribute to both networking and non-networking waveforms, with onsite work in Cedar Rapids, IA. Relocation may be considered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, architecture and design at all levels of the total system product from concept to disposal.
• Perform functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies.
• Provide analyses for decomposition of customer specifications into sub-system requirements and develop verification criteria and plans.
• Conduct technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessments.
