Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Systems Engineer in the TEN division. You will oversee technical teams, define system architectures, and manage implementation from concept to deployment for DoD-related projects.

The role emphasizes hardware design, test automation, and cross-team collaboration with a focus on RF/EO/IR systems. Active clearance and strong documentation skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience with hardware system design, integration, or validation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing and/or executing hardware tests in laboratory environments.
  • Hands-on experience with prototype fabrication from concept through production.

Responsibilities

  • Create product or system definitions and conduct initial requirements analysis
  • Contribute to technical reports and diagrams detailing product or system attributes
  • Analyze product or system functionality as defined by requirements
  • Interface with and begin to work with disparate engineering teams for technical tasking
  • Contribute to complete test system lifecycle from initial requirements and use case definition through design, prototyping, acceptance testing, delivery, and ongoing field support
  • Develop and present design review materials to customers and internal stakeholders, maintaining active engagement throughout all project phases
