Job summary

AeroVironment, located in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a ground-based laser and beam control product line. You will collaborate with systems and design engineers, as well as program management, to achieve product and program goals, with potential leadership responsibilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or physics, 2–12 years in systems engineering, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. ITAR/EAR compliance applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics.
• 2-12 years' experience in systems engineering.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to develop requirements/test plans and support test execution.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage product/customer requirements in a requirements database.
• Collaborate with functional engineering leads to allocate requirements and derive lower-level requirements.
• Support internal product reviews and customer meetings in a systems engineering capacity.
• Develop plans for Verification and Validation (V&V) with the team.
• Support execution of system test to close out V&V.
