Global Technical Systems (GTS) seeks a Systems Engineer for on-site support to NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on prototype design, development, testing, evaluation, and integration of directed energy and RF systems, applying MBSE and systems engineering best practices.

Candidates should have BS in engineering, 5 years in electronics or EM systems, 3 years in directed energy or RF, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in electronic or electromagnetic systems.
  • 3 years of experience in directed energy, HPM, or RF specialized electronics.
  • US Citizen, ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support research and experimentation for directed energy systems including high-power microwave, laser, and pulsed power prototype systems.
  • Provide design inputs to the development of directed energy prototype systems.
  • Support investigations and engineering evaluations of highly complex projects and products.
  • Design products and implement improved processes to enhance performance of defense systems.
  • Develop and update engineering documentation, including schematics, technical specifications, analysis, architectures, test procedures, and reports.
  • Interact with customers, engineers, and program management to successfully complete projects.
