Global Technical Systems (GTS) seeks an Electrical Engineer to support NSWCDD HPM projects on-site at Dahlgren. The role covers prototype design, testing, evaluation, and system integration for high-power microwave technology.
Requires a BS in engineering, 5 years in electronics/electromagnetics, and 3 years in HPM/RF electronics, plus US citizenship and ability to obtain a secret clearance. Office environment with defense-focused responsibilities.
Global Technical Systems (GTS) provides innovative, cost-effective, high-tech engineering products and product-based services encompassing latest generation software and hardware solutions and engineering services for defense, homeland security, and other critical Government interests. GTS products and services span a spectrum that includes: mission-critical combat systems processors; C4ISR; technology development including threat detection, biometric identification systems, and composite applications for munitions, armor and energy storage; avionics test systems; and lifecycle logistics support and repair.GTS will provide engineering support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Integrated Engagement Systems specific to the High Power Microwave (HPM) Weapons Systems Division (E50). Services include HPM prototype design and development as well as system testing and evaluation. We are in search of a ElectricalEngineer for this effort on-site.
Provides electrical engineering support including prototype design, development, testing, evaluation, and integration of directed energy prototypes. Designs and verifies performance of complex systems. Applies system, hardware, and software knowledge to the design of new prototypes and the redesign / modification of existing systems. Performs analyses and trade studies and provides technical input to specifications that support system design and enhancement. Evaluates and recommends options and alternatives for systems. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
5 years of experience in electronics and electromagnetics and 3 years of experience in the design and development of HPM systems or RF specialized electronics. US Citizen, Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
BS degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering scientific, or technical discipline.

The posted salary range represents the anticipated range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including directly relevant experience, education, advanced degrees, specialized training, certifications, skills, military experience, and other applicable qualifications. Final compensation will also take into consideration internal equity, contract requirements, and business needs.
