Job summary

SCCI in Dahlgren, VA seeks a Systems Engineer to support the BMS program, applying rigorous systems engineering processes and working with customers to define requirements. You will interface with software, test, configuration management, training and safety teams to clarify intent and deliver final solutions.

The role involves MBSE modeling (Cameo), design reviews, and collaboration on weapon-system projects across air, land and sea platforms, with CONUS travel 1–2 weeks per month and a robust

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• BS STEM degree or equivalent weapon system experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional technical experience.
• 2 years of system analysis for requirements, design, risk, or test/eval.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, field environments.
• Ability to interface with government, contractors and military.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Design Reviews, IPTs, WGs, PRPs and PCPs.
• Develop requirements for weapon systems integrated with air, land and sea platforms.
• Apply systems engineering best practices for requirements, design and implementation.
• Assess operational performance criteria and propose improvements.
• Develop and communicate system plans, progress and results in writing and orally.
• Collaborate on a large system with multiple stakeholders.
• Develop MBSE models and contribute to the BMS MBSE Community of Practice.
• Develop solutions for SW-centric projects including GUI concepts.
