Job summary

WITTENSTEIN motion control Inc. in Bartlett, IL seeks a systems engineer to join a compact engineering team. Responsibilities include maintaining motor control simulations, tuning control loading systems, and integrating CAN Bus, EtherCAT and Ethernet loops with customer software.

Periodic on-site work and remote support will be required. Applicants should have a BEng in Electrical or Software Engineering and 3+ years in defense/aerospace contexts, with strong written and verbal communication

Qualifications

• Requires deep knowledge of DC motor control, AC/DC conversion, inverter functionality, and control loops.
• Experience with CAN Bus, EtherCAT, and Ethernet communication.
• Familiarity with SPI/SSI signal integration and PID tuning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support motor control simulation software.
• Tuning of control loading systems to customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues on-site or remotely from Bartlett facility.
• Assist in proposal writing and technical documentation.
• Design and execute system integration, verification and validation plans.
