Job summary

NCC Automated Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead the engineering and integration of automated material handling and packaging systems from concept to execution.

You will partner with Applications Engineering, Project Management, vendors, customers, and internal teams to deliver safe, reliable, and maintainable integrated systems, ensuring upstream and downstream processes are harmonized for optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automation, conveyor systems or packaging equipment.
• Experience integrating multi-equipment automated systems with OEM vendors is highly desirable.
• Experience in food, packaging, manufacturing, distribution, or similar automated production environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the complete customer process, including upstream and downstream operations.
• Develop and refine process flow diagrams and sequences of operation.
• Evaluate equipment footprint, rates, belt speeds, and transfer requirements.
• Design system layouts and conveyor functions using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with Electrical Engineering and Project teams during integration and execution.
