Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Systems (T01) or Engineer Systems (T02) for a role within the Aeronautics Systems Sector, located in Palmdale, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, or San Diego, CA. The position is part of the Product Support organization and involves full lifecycle system engineering responsibilities.

The candidate must meet degree requirements by August 2027, pursue STEM majors, and be able to obtain U.S. government security clearance with program access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.
• Master’s degree earned or in progress by August 2027 and 2 years of systems engineering experience for T02 eligibility.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required) and Program Special access as determined by the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability analyses for total systems.
• Analyze performance data to identify failure modes, validate data integrity, and generate data-driven recommendations.
• Conduct system analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations to resolve issues and improve reliability.
• Develop and implement solutions that enhance system reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product support teams on Reliability & Maintainability, Supportability, Modeling & Simulation, and Support Equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, review technical data, and support testing to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace/Systems Engineering

Master’s degree in a related field
