Job summary

Real Time Consulting is seeking a Systems Engineer - Aircraft State to join our engineering team in the Phoenix area. The role focuses on development, systems integration and verification of avionics-based state monitoring applications to run on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aerospace, hands-on experience with avionics requirements, validation, integration and verification, plus Simulink model-based design and Python scripting for automated testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of Aerospace Industry experience.
  • Experience in avionics requirement development.
  • Experience in avionics validation.
  • Experience in avionics integration.
  • Experience in avionics verification.
  • Experience with Simulink model-based systems design.
  • Experience with Python scripting for automating testing.
  • Experience with sensors used for aircraft position and navigation (Air Data, AHRS, GPS).
  • Experience interfacing with aircraft systems (flaps, gear, cabin pressure, FADEC).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Accountable and takes ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Self-motivated and proactive to get things done.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate and verify aircraft state and systems monitoring software.
  • Collaborate on verification and validation of avionics applications.
  • Interface with aircraft subsystems and sensors for position/navigation data.

ABOUT THE JOB:

Be part of a team thatisresponsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Aircraft State and/or Aircraft Systems monitoring and synoptics applications to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

REQUIREDSKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of Aerospace Industry experience
  • Experience in avionics systems requirement development
  • Experience in avionics validation
  • Experience in avionics integration
  • Experience in avionics verification
  • Experience with Simulink model-based systems design
  • Experience with Python scripting for automating testing
  • Experience working with sensors used for aircraft position and navigation (Air Data, AHRS, GPS, etc.)
  • Experience integrating or interfacing with aircraft systems (flaps, gear, cabin pressure, FADEC, etc.)

PREFERRED SKILLS:
