Job summary

Real Time Consulting, LLC seeks a Software Engineer to advance avionics display applications on the Next Generation Avionics Platform. You will contribute to design, coding, integration, and verification in a safety-critical environment.

The role requires DO-178B/C lifecycle experience, C++ proficiency, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, real-time software for display systems. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years avionics software experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Software Engineering, or related technical area.
• 5+ years Software Development experience for avionics.
• Experience developing software applications for avionics displays.
• Full lifecycle software development experience in accordance with DO-178B/C.
• Experience designing software architectures.
• Experience with object oriented software design.
• Ability to code in C++.
• Experience creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements.
• Experience with safety critical real time operating systems (RTOS).
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.
• Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done.
• Ability to make autonomous decisions.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional design teams.

ABOUT THE JOB:

This team is responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Displays Apps to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
