Job summary

Stealth Talent Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a DoD program. The role combines remote work with regular access to client sites in the Washington, DC region, focusing on troubleshooting, software releases, testing, and documentation.

You will interact with end users and technical teams to resolve issues, validate deployments, and ensure reliable operation of secure software environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems engineering or related customer-facing technical roles.
• 5+ years supporting or troubleshooting Java-based applications.
• Strong hands-on Linux, Bash scripting, SQL, logs, and configuration files.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting web application environments (Jetty, Apache, IIS).
• Working knowledge of networking, sockets, web services, PKI, certificates, and key management.
• Experience supporting software releases, patches, security updates, vulnerability remediation, or deployment packages.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required; DoD 8140/DCWF; CompTIA Security+ satisfies requirement.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by customers and field teams.
• Troubleshoot applications using logs, system behavior, configurations, and user reports.
• Diagnose issues across Linux and web-based environments and document findings.
• Support software releases, patches, security updates, and deployments; prepare installers and release materials.
• Perform installation, upgrade, configuration, patching, and validation; assist with testing and customer acceptance.
