Job summary

OCT Consulting LLC seeks a Systems Engineer to support a federal client, reporting to OCT leadership and COR. You will craft IT documentation, analizar test data, and maintain requirements and configurations to ensure smooth transitions from STEPP to CSOD.

Requirements include US citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and a BS in a STEM field with 4+ years of Systems Engineering exp. The role offers a hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and retain a Secret clearance; background check includes credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check.
• Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related STEM discipline.
• Ability to interface with senior levels of management.
• Ability to plan / organize work.
• Ability to research, gather, and synthesize data.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IT documentation, block diagrams, and logic flowcharts.
• Prepare sample developmental test data and analyze results for product development and debugging.
• Update and maintain system requirements and configuration documentation.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities for transition from STEPP to CSOD.
• Propose development strategies and IT roadmaps for the transition.
• Collaborate with hardware design engineers on machine characteristics affecting software/database systems.
• Support requirements traceability matrices to translate operations requirements into technical specs.
