Job summary

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level systems engineer to assist with daily responsibilities and contribute to mission-critical projects in a security-cleared environment.

Responsibilities include designing hardware installations, preparing project documentation, evaluating vendors, and developing test plans. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Engineering and 10 years of systems engineering experience, plus TS/SCI with favorable polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Ten (10) years of systems engineering experience.
• U.S. citizen with Top Secret/SCI clearance and favorable polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters.
• Plan, direct, review, and coordinate the preparation of project documentation to meet customer contract and company requirements.
• Prepare specifications, evaluate vendors, and analyze test reports.
• Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions.
• Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to design hardware that satisfies user needs.
• Develop hardware installation schedules based on setup, integration, and test timelines.
• Conduct site surveys and document current site network configurations and site-specific requirements.

• Develop designs for the installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters
• Plan, direct, review, and coordinate the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met
• Prepare specifications, evaluate vendors, and analyze test reports
• Prepare functional requirements and specification for hardware acquisitions
• Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components that satisfies user's requirements
• Develop hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timelines
• Conduct site surveys, assessing and documenting current site network configuration and site-unique requirements

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Ten (10) years of systems engineering experience.

Required Skills:

• Advanced Linux experience; NSYS level troubleshooting experience
• Automated testing experience
• Scripting experience or at least the ability to walk through scripts for troubleshooting purposes
• Collection system knowledge/experience
• Tiered mission support experience
• Experience creating Ansible scripts
• Experience with containers

Desired Skills:

• FORNSAT knowledge, experience within the collection environment
• Ansible experience
• TLS/server certificate installation/management/troubleshooting
• RF installation/modem experience
• NiFi knowledge and experience in operational support and administrative tasks
• Experience with Kubernetes

Benefits

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
