Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer (SE-3) to develop system requirements, lead design and integration efforts, and produce essential technical documentation for DoD programs. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and will work on Fort Meade, Maryland.

The position emphasizes technical leadership, requirements management, and collaboration with government stakeholders to ensure system integrity and successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with Product Owner for SAFe/agile ceremonies.
• Ability to participate in sprint reviews, Inspect and Adapt, and PI planning.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, develop system requirements specifications.
• Lead design and development activities.
• Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Develop technical documentation and system architecture/design documentation.
• Guide planning for system engineering management and test plans.
• Interact with Government on technical considerations and issues.
• Ensure technical integrity of work and deliverables in Systems Engineering.
• Guide users in formulating requirements, propose alternatives, conduct feasibility studies.
• Incorporate new plans and designs into ongoing operations.

Description

Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.

Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.

Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.

Develops technical documentation.

Develops system architecture and system design documentation.

Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.

Interacts with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.

Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.

• Guides users in formulating requirements.
• Advises alternative approaches and conducts feasibility studies.
• Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
• Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Position Required Skills

• Experience in collaborating with Product Owner in preparation for SAFe/agile ceremonies, including sprint reviews, Inspect and Adapt, and Program Increment (PI) planning events

SE-3 Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience.
OR
A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.

Salary Range

**$157k-$193k (Annually)

**The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation, salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
