Job summary

SageCor Solutions, serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, seeks an SE3 to design end-to-end dataflow plans, analyze routing issues, and master new systems for evolving operational needs.

You will adapt documentation into repeatable procedures and leverage Confluence/Jira for knowledge tracking. Qualified candidates bring advanced dataflow engineering skills and a track record of solving complex data problems with a proactive, independent mindset.

Qualifications

• Four track education requirements covering HS to PhD with corresponding years of experience.
• Engineering degree(s) required with progressively more experience.
• Advanced dataflow and systems engineering capabilities expected.
• Familiarity with knowledge management tools for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Autonomous Dataflow Plan Engineering: synthesize requirements into end-to-end dataflow plans.
• Independent Problem Solution: analyze and resolve complex dataflow routing issues.
• Rapid Domain Acquisition: research and master new systems and tools as needed.
• SOP Adaptation and Knowledge Capture: tailor baseline docs into repeatable procedures.

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.

Required Experience:

• A High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience.
• A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience.
• A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.

The SE3 candidate will be able to execute the following core tasks:

• Autonomous Dataflow Plan Engineering: Synthesize high-level operational requirements into detailed, end-to-end dataflow plans–defining ingest points, transformation steps, security/compliance boundary crossings, and destination endpoints.
• Independent Problem Solution: Analyze and resolve complex dataflow routing issues where standardized documentation or procedures are insufficient or non-existent.
• Rapid Domain Acquisition: Independently research, analyze, and master new or unfamiliar systems and tools to address emerging operational needs.
• SOP Adaptation and Knowledge Capture: Leverage existing baseline documentation as a preliminary guide, while synthesizing tailor-made solutions into formal, repeatable procedures and technical recommendations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Tooling and Workflow Tracking: Familiarity with knowledge management and ticketing tools such as Confluence and Jira. The candidate will leverage these tools to track team progress, identify and address documentation gaps, and maintain comprehensive records of dataflows, workflows, and routing anomalies.
