Job Description
Perform flight deck design, system integration, testing, certification, and production support activities for commercial aircraft cockpit systems. Support cross‑functional engineering efforts involving hardware and software integration, interface development, and fleet issue resolution.

Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of related work experience
- PDM experience
- CATIA experience
- ENOVIA experience
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Preferred Skills
- Mechanical, Aero, or Electrical Engineering Degree
Job Duties & Functions
- Lead work with internal customers and suppliers to develop and document component and detail design efforts, complex mechanical and electrical system requirements using analytical and technical skills, and thorough documentation within schedule and cost constraints
- Create design solutions using model‑based engineering software and numerical analysis
- Coordinate cross‑functional technical activities internally and externally with manufacturing, Crew‑ops, airplane safety, Supply Chain Management, BCA Systems Software, suppliers, airline customers, regulatory agencies, and interfacing teams
- Identify problems, perform root‑cause corrective analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Provide expeditious support to the Factory and Flight Line to resolve emergent issues
- Develop Interface Control Documents (ICD) and Specification Control Documents/Drawings (SCD)
- Develop requirements and design considerations supporting program objectives and requirements impacting data reliability and integrity, fault tree analysis (FTA), and System Safety Analysis (SSA)
- Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications
- Implement corrective actions utilizing the Company Problem‑Solving Methodology
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
- Resolve issues and problems concerning fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle
- Research technology advances for potential application to the company's business needs
