Job summary

Entegee seeks an avionics systems engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams on avionics solutions. You will support requirements development and interfaces, and participate in design and requirement development activities with lab-based testing.

The role involves on-site testing in a lab, including robustness and scenario-based testing, with flexibility during formal test phases. Strong avionics knowledge and IMA experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Exposure to requirements development, verification, testing, or model-based engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) at the system level is required
• Strong understanding of Avionics, aircraft Systems, and Subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of systems, software, integration, and test engineers to deliver avionics solutions.
• Support development, analysis, and refinement of system requirements and interfaces.
• Perform design and requirement developments activities and lab-based testing.
• Execute requirements-based testing, robustness testing, and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment.
• Troubleshoot and report issues from development cycles and provide status updates to OEMs.

Job description

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of systems, software, integration, and test engineers to develop and deliver avionics system solutions.
• Support development, analysis, and refinement of system requirements and interfaces.
• Complete assignments involving Design and Requirement Developments activities
• On-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness, and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases)
• Support requirements development, requirements-based testing execution, test script development, execution of scenario-based, robustness, and unintended function/behavior testing in a lab environment. Flexibility is necessary to maximize test assets utilization.
• Be responsible for the troubleshooting and reporting of issues resulting from development cycles; the candidate will be capable of providing internal status as well as directly reporting to the OEMs as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with one or more of the following tools/languages is a plus: Python, MATLAB/Simulink, Cameo, or similar engineering tools.
• Exposure to requirements development, verification, testing, or model-based engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) at the system level is required
• Strong understanding of Avionics, aircraft Systems, and Subsystems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with full development cycles, Avionics certification, and a strong understanding of lifecycle activities and deliverables for Avionics programs.
• Experience working within regulatory environments, including DO-254, DO-160, DO-178B/C, DO-297, ARP4754A, and FAA/TCCA/EASA standards.
• Coursework or project experience related to systems engineering, embedded systems, software development, aerospace, or controls.
• Experience working on team-based technical projects, including design reviews, troubleshooting, or test execution
