Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a company focused on advanced defense technologies, command and control systems, and complex systems integration. This position is on-site in Colorado Springs, CO. The Systems Engineer will support the development, integration, testing, and performance analysis of mission-critical systems within a large-scale engineering environment.

Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer include:

• Support systems engineering, integration, testing, and performance assessment activities across complex system environments
• Develop and analyze system requirements, architectures, and capabilities using MBSE tools and modeling/simulation methodologies
• Conduct system performance analyses, requirements assessments, and technical trade studies to evaluate and optimize capabilities
• Execute and document integration and test activities while supporting verification, validation, and system readiness efforts
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to solve complex engineering challenges and improve processes, tools, and system performance

Required Qualifications for the Systems Engineer include:

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Architecture, Requirements Management, Design Engineering, Test Engineering, or related technical disciplines
• Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo, DOORS, System Architect, or similar systems engineering platforms
• Experience performing system analysis, technical trade studies, modeling and simulation, performance assessments, and requirements verification activities
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Java, or similar programming languages for analytical tool development and complex system analysis
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and iterative product development processes
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with experience supporting complex technical programs
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field
• Experience supporting DoD, command and control, communications, aerospace, defense, space, or other complex engineering environments preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI preferred

Compensation for the Systems Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $155,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law
