Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a defense aviation and aerospace modernization program. The role is on-site in Oklahoma City, OK, working on development, integration, verification, and validation of complex aircraft systems to ensure mission success and compliance with customer requirements.

The engineer will collaborate with internal teams and customers, support certification efforts, and contribute to risk management and process improvement across avionics,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, or related fields.
• Experience with MBSE and architecture tools (CAMEO/MSOSA/Rhapsody) and DOORS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a company focused on defense aviation, executive transport aircraft modernization, and advanced military aerospace systems. This position is on-site in Oklahoma City, OK. The Systems Engineer will support the development, integration, verification, and validation of complex aircraft systems to ensure mission success and compliance with customer requirements. Join a team helping advance next-generation avionics, communications, radar, and defense technologies supporting critical national and international programs.

Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer include:

• Develop and manage system requirements, architecture, and design solutions
• Support system integration, verification, validation, and test planning activities
• Create and maintain systems engineering documentation, models, specifications, and reports
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders to support program execution and technical reviews
• Support certification efforts, risk management, and continuous improvement of engineering processes

Required Qualifications for the Systems Engineer include:

• 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Verification & Validation, or related engineering disciplines
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and architecture tools such as CAMEO, MSOSA, or Rhapsody, as well as requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS
• Experience with system architecture development, requirements management, verification and validation, and cross-functional technical collaboration
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Compensation for the Systems Engineer include:

Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000 depending on experience
