Job summary

Technology Service Corporation seeks a Systems Engineer to lead radar system design and production for naval programs, including SPY-6 integration. You will perform advanced calculations and analyses, support prototypes, and ensure correct shipboard radar functionality with AEGIS interfaces.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields, 8+ years of DoD/industry experience, and an active secret clearance. On-site role in King George, VA with strong ESOP culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, computer or electronics engineering or related majors such as math, CS or physics.
  • 8+ years of industry and/or DoD experience.
  • Experience with SPY-6 radar systems and shipboard radar integration.
  • Active secret clearance and US citizenship.
  • Familiarization with Dual Band Radar (DBR) systems.
  • Ability to read/modify master schedules for testing, development and production.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex radar system engineering, design, analysis, or sensor software development.
  • Lead radar system design and production activities for Navy programs.
  • Support technology developments, insertions, prototyping and demonstrations.
  • Understand radar interfaces with the Aegis weapons system and shipboard operations.

The position will support technology developments, technology insertions, prototyping and technology demonstrations in support of a mission critical and highly visible new program. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:* Performing complex radar system engineering, design, analysis, or sensor software development.* Experienced in formulating opinions, decisions and ultimate performance of the engineering tasks associated with the radar/sensor program/project.* Perform detailed and complex calculations and knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced radar systems concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration.**Required Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, computer or electronics engineering.
