Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Systems Engineer to translate customer needs into technical specifications for ISR and communications systems. You will design and evolve complex platforms, mentor teammates, and grow expertise toward cloud-based capabilities on an onsite site at Warner Robins AFB, GA.

The role requires 3+ years in IT system engineering, Agile experience, and IAT II Certification, with several approved education paths and a strong emphasis on system integration and lifecycle

Role Overview

This role offers an opportunity to combine technical skills with strategic thinking to impact national security. The position involves translating real-world needs into technical specifications to deliver customer-focused engineering solutions. As a Systems Engineer, you will solve complex challenges and shape missions by leading Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) analyst capabilities and communications systems. The role includes designing, developing, and evolving these systems with advanced technology, as well as mentoring others and broadening your skillset into areas like cloud-based capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with IT system engineering.
• Experience with Agile teams.
• Experience in full lifecycle software sustainment and support.
• Knowledge of system integration.
• HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience with IT systems, an Associate’s degree and 7+ years of experience with IT systems, or a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with IT systems.
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VMWare, including v9.x and virtualized infrastructure design and configuration.
• Experience with Dell hardware.
• Experience with scripting for configuration automation, including Python, Bash, or Perl.
• Experience with containerization, including Kubernetes.
• A Master’s degree.
