Spectra Tech, Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to support new machining center installations and ongoing production operations in a nuclear-regulated environment.
You will participate in configuration management, paperwork, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities while collaborating with related disciplines. The role requires a strong machining background, ABET-accredited BS in Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience (MS preferred), and a Q clearance.
Expected work schedule: M-Th 40 hrs./week with potential for occasional overtime.
Support new machining center installations and/or existing machining production operations through supporting configuration management activities, various paperwork activities, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities. Must have machining background experience.
Performs troubleshooting and improvement activities.
Applies systems and equipment expertise needed to resolve technical system and equipment issues in cooperation with other related disciplines.
Experience in a NRC or DOE regulated environment is desirable. Requires an understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance for facilities operating within a nuclear regulated environment.
Requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with various clients, production and support organizations, management, and hourly
Requires an ABET accredited BS degree in an Engineering discipline plus 5 or more years of relevant professional experience or a MS degree in a relevant Engineering discipline. Additional experience is preferred. Q clearance required. Candidates with systems and equipment experience in mechanical and electrical systems preferred.wage employees. Must be willing to work in a production environment. Experience in Integrated Safety Management is a plus.
