Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Azure, and Microsoft 365 environments
• Manage and maintain Proxmox VE clusters, including virtualization, high availability, and storage/network configurations
• Automate IT workflows and processes using Ansible, n8n, and similar automation frameworks
• Implement scalable, secure solutions aligned with compliance initiatives (NIST, SOC 2, ISO, CJIS requirements, etc.)
• Support IT efficiency by identifying redundant systems and streamlining SaaS usage
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, sysadmin, and helpdesk teams to reduce manual workloads and increase automation
• Participate in infrastructure planning for future growth and scaling
• Play a key role in building IT infrastructure for a growing national MSP
• Work with cutting‑edge technologies in virtualization, cloud, and automation

Requirements

• 3–5 years of IT administration or systems engineering experience (not an entry‑level role)
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Entra, Azure, and M365 administration
• Strong working knowledge of Proxmox VE clustering (VM management, HA, backups, networking)
• Hands‑on automation experience with Ansible, n8n, or comparable platforms
• Familiarity with compliance‑driven environments (NIST, SOC 2, ISO, CJIS, etc.) is a plus
• Comfortable working in a scaling MSP environment with rapid change
• Self‑starter who can own projects end‑to‑end and document processes clearly

Work Environment / Hazards

Working primarily inside an office environment. Noise level is usually moderate. High level of interaction with external/internal clients.

Physical Demands

Stationary position for 8‑10 hours a day. Able to frequently move, transport positions objects of 50 pounds or more. Repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers. Visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment.

Travel Requirements

Able to travel 0‑10% of the time.
