Job summary

Amazon LEO (Project Kuiper) is building a low Earth orbit satellite broadband network delivering fast internet globally. The Systems Development Engineer will design, deploy, and manage both cloud and physical infrastructure to support essential Leo shared services and engineering tools across Linux and Windows environments.

You will drive system uptime, plan changes through formal change control, and collaborate with engineering teams to meet evolving satellite design needs while developing

Qualifications

• Automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Programming in at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage RHEL supporting engineering tools.
• Manage Windows supporting engineering tools.
• Manage VMWare VSphere and guests.
• Maintain uptime for critical design and manufacturing applications.
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Handle physical server deployments and maintenance.
• Create and enforce change management procedures.
• Work directly with engineering teams to understand requirements.
• Plan and execute system improvements.
• Document technical processes and configurations.
• Develop automation scripts.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
• Design and implement technical solutions.
• Service monitoring.
