Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and build telecom applications that power how customers order, activate, and manage broadband subscriptions.

You will work across the full software lifecycle, partnering with Satellite, Networks, and Security teams to deliver scalable, reliable services for a global satellite network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement telecom components, applications, and services for customer ordering, billing, subscriber management, and notifications.
• Partner with Satellite, Networks, and Security engineering teams to integrate Customer Engagement Systems with the core network.
• Design scalable components, services, and data models that support high-reliability communications workloads.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle including code reviews, testing, deployment, and operational support, ensuring root causes of issues are identified and permanently resolved.
• Document system architecture and mentor teammates on how your software is constructed, operated, and maintained.
