Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer I to join our team and contribute to transforming our supply chain technology architecture. You will design and deliver technology solutions, ensuring they are well-tested and maintainable, while learning engineering best practices and collaborating with your team.

The role includes mentoring interns, participating in design and post-incident reviews, and helping to hire new team members.

Qualifications

• Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and software deployment best practices.
• Experience delivering maintainable, tested software and collaborating in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technology solutions to solve straightforward technical problems.
• Ensure solutions are well-tested, maintainable, and optimized to team needs.
• Identify risks and make appropriate technical trade-offs in designs.
• Work independently and with the team to complete projects successfully.
• Continuously learn and apply current engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, research root causes, and resolve defects in owned systems.
• Mentor interns and participate in hiring when possible.
