Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a System Design Integration Engineer to lead detailed design and integration of naval gas turbine modules, defining requirements and verifying products across the lifecycle.

You will support installation, testing, and field service, and collaborate with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams. A mechanical or aerospace engineering background and US citizenship are required, with experience in system design and aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 1+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or JD/PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
• U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake system detailed design and development through gated reviews and verify compliance to requirements.
• Create 3D/2D drawings and select key system components.
• Provide engineering support to customers, suppliers, and field staff.
• Manage configuration and change for components and documentation.
• Resolve design/manufacturing/test issues and document DARs.
