Job summary

Spear Bio Inc. is seeking an Associate Engineer / Senior Associate Engineer, Systems Design & Integration to develop data analysis software, assist with LIMS infrastructure, and support instrument control software for the SPEAR immunoassay platform.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assemble, test, and refine complex systems, gaining broad system-level experience in a high-growth biotech startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.
• 1–4 years of experience with lab systems integration, software development for scientific instruments, or diagnostics platform development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data analysis software and tools for the SPEAR platform, including calibration curves and reporting.
• Maintain Spear Bio’s LIMS infrastructure ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Build dashboards and automated reporting for assay performance and system quality.
• Support instrument control software development and integration with firmware and applications.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software development and testing.
