Job summary

UPS is seeking a Systems Design Engineer in Atlanta to develop 2D/3D drawings and project plans for material-handling systems. The role requires collaboration with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time project delivery, meeting UPS standards and safety practices.

The position demands strong drafting skills with Autodesk tools and the ability to interpret mechanical schematics, plus proficiency in Office suite for reporting and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or international equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics and simple diagrams.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D drafting using Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Architecture, Inventor, Navisworks, Docs); SolidWorks experience optional.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D drawings and sheet sets to meet feasibility study requirements.
• Develop project estimates and schedules for funding approval.
• Communicate cross-functionally to gain project support and drive schedule compliance.
• Interface with material-handling vendors, conveyor manufacturers, electrical control manufacturers, and consultants to ensure UPS standards and safety regulations.
• Deliver the final project using latest engineering technologies for cost-effective material-handling solutions.
