Job summary

Collaboration with BDIS staff to provide essential data resources is required. The role covers database tuning, backups, DR planning, and security, with opportunities to contribute to new applications and system design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or MIS required
• Minimum four years in application development or two years in development plus two years in another IT field
• Qualifying experience must be clearly shown in employment history

Responsibilities

• Analyze the Florida Voter Registration System and related subsystems.
• Create queries and interpret data sets; write shell scripts to automate tasks.
• Develop PL/SQL packages and execute T-SQL and P-SQL queries.
• Design data models and data collection systems; provide data resources for case intake and management.
• Implement failover strategies; perform database patches and upgrades.
• Oversee database tuning, monitoring, security, and DR planning.
• Assist in system design, create tables, and set performance metrics.
• Maintain change logs for database configuration and user access.
