Under the direction of the Automation and Development Manager and the Sr. DBA Dev, the DBA Dev II maintains and supports all aspects of company’s SQL Server database environment. The environment consists of 100+ on premise virtualized, Microsoft SQL Server instances powering several hundred in-house and third-party enterprise applications. The incumbent will also assist the development team with database level software development tasks.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in computer-related field and two to five years SQL and or programming experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Evidence of ability to analyze and translate user requirements into specifications and prepare detailed design/implementation documentation.

Demonstrated ability in analytical reasoning and logical problem solving.

Hands-on knowledge and experience of SQL Server design, build, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.

Hands-on knowledge and experience in development and scripting in a variety of programming languages, including T-SQL, PowerShell, C#, SSIS, SSRS.

Preferred:

Knowledge of Microsoft Server + CAL and Core licensing models and editions.

Knowledge and experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD and Agile.

Knowledge and experience in advanced SQL Server features and architectures including Cloud, AlwaysOn and containerization.
