You will be the Systems Architect Sr Stf for the Systems Architecture Team which is responsible for shaping next‑generation autonomous capabilities for the Air Force.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Architect Principal, you will be responsible for driving the vision and execution of autonomy architecture across LockheedMartin's Aeronautics portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborate with industry partners to define and advance the autonomous‑system vision.
  • Design an autonomy architecture that emphasizes interoperability, scalability, and future‑capability growth.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of software and systems engineers.
  • Apply Digital Engineering principles (Cameo) to streamline development.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secretclearance. Designs, develops and oversees system architectures, including complex systems and systems design activities. Serves as focal point for the development and communication of the system architecture. Ensures conversion of mission requirements into total systems solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the system. Develops systems and system element architecture, design, and interface definition. Supports internal and external design reviews. Maintains knowledge of current and developing technologies and design and analysis methodologies. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.

Basic Qualifications
  • Relevant experience with DoD systems/software engineering and architecture, etc.
  • Experience working directly with OMS/UCI
  • Technical leadership experience (Chief Engineer/Architect, etc.)
  • Experience leading technical proposals and authoring technical volumes
  • Experience with Mission Planning, Mission Systems, Vehicle Systems
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Autonomy programs within the DoD
  • Extensive experience with Cameo or other MBSE tools
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others
  • Experience with Mission Planning
  • Experience with Mission Systems

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full‑time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
