Job summary

Georgia Ports Authority is seeking a Systems Architect to design, integrate, and deploy IT systems for the Ocean Terminal facility. You will collaborate with IT, Operations, Equipment Maintenance, Engineering, and external vendors to ensure seamless data flow and system performance.

Under the Director of IT - Ocean Terminal, you will lead design, testing, go-live readiness, and continuous improvement of these systems, balancing security, scalability, and analytics with real terminal needs.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience with terminal operating systems and systems development and integration
• 4-6 years of experience in marine terminal operations or tangential activities
• 4-6 years analyzing and developing software
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred
• TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Credential required
• Driver's License - Valid state driver's license required
• Must possess demonstrable skills in the implementation of Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) and other peripheral technologies
• Knowledge of Navis TOS and port operations

Responsibilities

• Evaluate software and hardware systems for marine terminal use with IT staff and vendors
• Lead integration of marine terminal systems to ensure data flow and minimize errors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure integrations with partners
• Develop custom software solutions to resolve system gaps and analyze data across systems
• Lead system testing efforts and develop test plans; track test cases
• Troubleshoot issues and document fixes with IT vendors
• Collaborate with Operations and IT to deliver operational reports
• Prepare go-live checklists and participate in go/no-go decisions
• Lead KPI-based process improvements and monitor metrics
• Apply change management strategies to foster staff adoption
