Job summary

Trigyn Technologies, Inc. in Albany, NY is seeking a Systems Architect to sustain the Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW) and Medicaid Data Enterprise. The role covers hardware, software, and infrastructure in design, development and implementation across the MDW ecosystem.

Key duties include creating technical specifications, reviewing procurements, managing licenses, budgets, and governance, and ensuring integration with other applications while coordinating with NYS ITS and vendors.

Qualifications

• Defines the architecture of a computerized system to fulfill requirements, including components and interfaces.
• Leads and guides large teams with extensive industry experience at the top of the field.
• 7+ years of Enterprise Architecture experience including software licenses, procurements and budgets.
• 7+ years of experience with data systems using Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or Db2.
• 7+ years designing, implementing and evaluating SOA and integration projects.
• 7+ years reviewing projects for architectural impact and governance.

Job description

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Systems Architect in Albany, NY.

Description

The Systems Architect will have responsibility to support the technical operational aspects of the Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW) and the Medicaid Data Enterprise. This includes all hardware, software and technical infrastructure in support of the design, development and implementation of the MDW and Medicaid Data Enterprise.

Specific duties include

• Create technical specifications;
• Reviewing and evaluating technical specifications;
• Review and evaluate procurements from both a technical, financial perspective
• Support and take responsibility for enterprise licensing, budget and forecasting efforts.
• Ensuring compliance with business objectives and requirements;
• Ensures functionality is integrated with other applications.
• Create Logical and Physical Technology Models
• Work with Vendor and NYS ITS to support existing infrastructure
• Support Enterprise Architecture review and governance.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 Months of Enterprise Architecture Experience including managing enterprise solutions, software license agreements, procurements, RFIs, RFPs, write proposals and overall enterprise budgets
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science or similar field of study.
• 84 months of experience in systems integrations involving multiple disparate mid-tier platforms like Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) or an Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) like MuleSoft, Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms, Cloud Platforms, API Management Platforms
• 84 months of experience with data systems utilizing Oracle and other leading database platforms like MySQL, PostgreSQL (Postgres) or IBM Db2
• 84 months of experience designing and implementing Service Oriented systems.
• 84 Months reviewing new projects for overall architectural impact and providing Architecture Assurance.
• 84 months of experience in research and evaluation of software / hardware products and industry trends to assist in Enterprise Portfolio Assessment and development of the Enterprise Roadmap.
• 84 months of experience designing, developing, implementing and supporting enterprise applications.
• 84 months experience in infrastructure Capacity Planning, Performance Management and related functions.
