The role supports the Department of State, Directorate of Passport Services and requires U.S. citizenship, ability to pass a federal background check, and a SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.
• Must possess a SECRET personnel security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience; or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
• HTML, CSS and JavaScript proficiency.
• Responsive web development experience.
• Testing and troubleshooting of web apps.
• Performance optimization for web apps.
• Collaboration with UI/UX designers.
• Technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate mockups and wireframes into functional websites.
• Apply code optimization and load-time reduction practices to improve performance.
• Identify and resolve code issues affecting website functionality.
• Ensure websites function smoothly across browsers and devices.
• Write and maintain clear technical documentation for code and development processes.
