Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Support Services in the United States is seeking a Systems Analyst for the IT department to understand and implement products, configure, support, and maintain applications aligned with business needs across departments and vendors.

You will participate in design discussions, help build the technology stack, document technical requirements, and mentor junior analysts, with travel as needed to support national and international sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent
  • 3–5 years as a systems analyst in a complex technical environment
  • Experience with CMS/SMS and loyalty systems preferred
  • Familiarity with casino/gaming environments and Agile practices

Responsibilities

  • Maintain schedule of applications refreshes.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors to upgrade systems.
  • Design technical solutions aligned with architecture principles.
  • Configure new and existing applications per specifications.
  • Serve as a technical expert and liaison on the technology stack.
  • Develop technical documentation clearly and concisely.
  • Define and execute long/short term IT roadmaps.
  • Perform tuning and maintenance of applications.

Job Description: The Systems Analyst role works in the Seminole Hard Rock Support Services IT department and it supports a fast growing organization and a worldly recognized brand. The System Analyst is responsible for understanding at a technical level the products they support and implement. This role configures, supports, maintains and implements applications based on requirements and business needs. The Systems analyst works with a variety of members in all departments in the technology team as well as with vendors and/or partners. He/she is an active participant in meetings and discussions about vendor products and how they are utilized within the organization, as well as how they fit in the technology stack.

Essential Duties
  • Maintains schedule of applications refreshes.
  • Collaborates with different members of the IT department and vendors to execute upgrades to existing systems.
  • Key and active participant in the design of technical solutions to solve business problems, abiding to architectural principles and standards.
  • Configure new and existing applications according to specifications.
  • Technical expert and/or liaison on a series of products within the technology stack, working with vendors as needed.
  • Develops technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
  • Deeply understands technical requirements.
  • Works with IT team to define and execute long and short term roadmap.
  • Perform tuning and maintenance of applications.
  • Supports assigned applications in collaboration with level 1 support and other members of the IT department including vendor resources.
  • Participates in industry and products educational events and professional organizations.
  • Mentors and teaches junior systems analysts as needed Perform lunch and learns and demos, Educate business and IT members on products.
  • Follows operational IT processes.
  • Escalates issues to appropriate team member as needed.
Qualifications Experience
  • University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration required; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a systems analyst in a complex technical environment, some of those working as a lead systems analyst or a senior analyst mentoring staff.
  • 3-4 years of experience with Casino Management Systems (CMS) preferred
  • 3-4 years of experience with Slot Management Systems (SMS) preferred
  • 3-4 years of experience with Loyalty Systems preferred, but not required
  • Familiar with concepts relating to casino/gaming environments
  • Familiar with concepts relating to loyalty systems and environments
  • Self-starter, organized, independent.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced and team environment.
  • Problem solver.
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team.
  • Open minded.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as deemed necessary by IT Management (national & international).
  • Experience working in a Casino Gaming related industry a plus.

Work Environment
