Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Support Services is seeking a cash-handling guest services associate in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will manage transactions, answer calls, take orders, and assist guests with directions and information.

We value hospitality-focused individuals who deliver accurate service, maintain a clean workspace, and communicate effectively with team members and guests to ensure a memorable experience.

Qualifications

  • Two months of on-the-job training or related cashier/host experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Process guest transactions, including sales, payment processing and making change.
  • Answer restaurant phone and take phone orders as needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized cashier stand and dining area.
  • Provide courteous service and promote property outlets to guests.
  • Resolve guest complaints following property procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and guests to ensure Amplified Service.

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent is responsible for the accurate handling of restaurant financial transactions. This position ensures prompt and courteous service to all restaurant guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Be thoroughly familiar with all menu items, including ingredients and food allergens, and wine list in order to assist guests and answer questions accurately.
  • Ensure restaurant is clean and in order at all times, including tables, chairs, floors, walls, ceilings, lighting, temperature, music, memorabilia, and décor.
  • Ensure cashier stand is fully stocked with pens/pencils, note pads, credit card vouchers, menus, daily function sheet, and cash handling and other forms.
  • Process guest transactions, including sales, payment processing, and making change, according to POS and cash handling procedures.
  • Answer restaurant phone.
  • Take phone orders, as needed.
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with all staff.
  • Provide recognition to others, including co-workers, supervisors, managers, and directors.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe work environment for co-workers and guests.
  • Be knowledgeable of property facilities, services, hours of operation, in-house events, conferences, and amenities to proactively assist guests.
  • Promote property outlets to guests.
  • Assist guests in finding locations within the property by escorting, when possible, or giving clear directions.
  • Resolve guest complaints using property procedures.
  • Create a positive environment in which all employees have the ability to maximize their potential.
  • Listen to comments, criticisms, and feedback from guests, employees, and managers to gain an understanding of strength and opportunity to improve personal/property performance.
  • Work as a team, helping all employees to complete the required activities that ensure we deliver Amplified Service.
  • Always smile and offer a warm greeting to all.
  • Take initiative to offer assistance throughout the property.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by department managers and supervisors.
  • Communicate with supervisors and managers to ensure that assigned duties are completed to standard.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest, employee, and company information.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Attend seminars when needed.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or through related cashier or host experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
KNOWLEDGE OF
  • Excellent customer service skills.

ABILITY TO
  • Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.

  • Ability to restock needed materials and retrieve dropped items.
PAY RANGE

$14 - $19/Hourly
