Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform architecture trade studies, system performance assessments, and capability gap analyses for missile defense systems and future integrated architectures.
• Utilize the Benchmark model to simulate ballistic and hypersonic threat engagements and evaluate system performance across multiple mission threads.
• Develop and execute analysis scripts and data post-processing routines using MATLAB and other analytical tools.
• Integrate modeling and simulation results from AFSIM, Benchmark, or other environments to inform architecture design decisions.

Missile Defense Systems Analyst – Architecture and Assessment

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA

PeopleTec is seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst / Engineer to support next‑generation missile defense architecture analysis and system‑of‑systems assessments. The successful candidate will contribute to the evaluation of architecture concepts, sensor and interceptor performance, and command‑and‑control (C2) options using advanced modeling and simulation tools, including the GTRI Benchmark model and/or AFSIM.

Duties

• Perform architecture trade studies, system performance assessments, and capability gap analyses for missile defense systems and future integrated architectures.
• Utilize the Benchmark model to simulate ballistic and hypersonic threat engagements and evaluate system performance across multiple mission threads.
• Develop and execute analysis scripts and data post‑processing routines using MATLAB and other analytical tools.
• Integrate modeling and simulation results from AFSIM, Benchmark, or other environments to inform architecture design decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in systems engineering supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems.
• Expertise with GTRI Benchmark or AFSIM modeling environments.
• Strong understanding of MDA system architectures and experience performing analysis to assess potential performance.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• An active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required; candidates must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hire and maintain it during employment.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
