The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an IT Business Analyst II to work with campus business groups, analyzing complex needs and recommending process enhancements. The role supports financial aid systems, testing, documentation, and end-user training in a hybrid on-campus/remote setup.

Responsibilities include assisting in systems planning, data queries, and ensuring data integrity across Admissions, Financial Aid, and related offices.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Support development efforts of financial aid related systems including PeopleSoft, document imaging, scholarship systems, and related entities.
• Participate in systems planning, development, testing, and program administration; run daily processes and generate reports to manage aid programs.
• Serve as a point-person for administering identified processes and systems.
• Develop and maintain end-user training and documentation.
• Assist in developing electronic initiatives to streamline processes and improve program integrity.
• Contribute to improving service to institutional constituents through workflow fit/gap reviews.

Works with business groups to solve moderately complex problems using technology. Analyzes complex business needs and evaluates routine business processes to recommend process enhancements. Assists in helping more senior business analysts with more complex projects.

• Assist with financial aid systems setup, maintenance, enhancement, oversight of specific duties as assigned, project management, financial aid data retrieval (query) and analysis, and working collaboratively with colleagues on the financial aid systems team and functional financial aid staff.
• Assist in the implementation, development, and improvement of business processes, operational metrics and performance.
• Support on-going development efforts of financial aid related systems. The systems supported include, but are not limited to, PeopleSoft Student System Financial Aid Module, Document Imaging, Scholarship System, PHEAA Program, Great Lakes Educational Loan Services, and state, federal and private agencies.
• Active participation in systems planning, development, testing, and program administration. Assist with running processes as part of daily production schedule, create reports and queries to proactively manage aid programs and troubleshoot issues to ensure data integrity.
• Serve as a point-person responsible for effectively administering specifically identified processes and systems.
• Develop and maintain effective documentation and end-user training.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and on-going enhancement of electronic initiatives streamlining processes, enhancing program integrity, minimizing risk, and providing significant added value to customer service.
• Actively work to enhance service to institutional constituents through on-going fit/gap review of business processes and workflow.
• Test software updates, patch bundles, programming revisions and new developments of software applications.
• Develop and retain knowledge of application interface specifications of offices impacting Admissions and Financial Aid, including, but not limited to Admissions, Registrar, Student Financials, Institutional Research, and academic units.

Most work is sedentary, completed within an office setting. Employee must be able to move about the campus to meetings and travel to locations outside of the University of Pittsburgh.
