Job summary

United Community seeks a senior IT Systems Specialist to define scope and objectives for complex business applications and processes, aligning technology with business goals. You will liaise between business units and technology, implement technical solutions, and manage system performance and documentation.

Responsibilities include configuring OS and apps, monitoring infrastructure, disaster recovery planning, and cross-functional collaboration with vendors. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field preferred
• Capable of developing recommendations to key business unit’s processes and applications
• 5+ years of experience in information technology and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices
• Excellent communications skills (written, verbal, presentation) with experience presenting to non-technical staff
• Able to solve complex technical and operational problems
• Ability to plan and manage projects
• Ability to review and develop High availability environments for business applications and processes
• Capable of developing test and disaster recovery plans, cases and scripts ensuring traceability to all requirements
• Must have a working knowledge of servers, networks, and data communications
• Advanced Windows Server Administration skills
• General knowledge of SQL server, Exchange Server, SharePoint, PowerShell scripting, Service Now
• Working knowledge of HP servers and enclosures
• Working knowledge of NetApp storage platforms and related software
• Working knowledge of Active Directory

• Work with vendors in evaluating and implementing new technologies
• Providing training and documentation to supporting technical staff and users
• Working independently on most projects and assignments

Overview
