Job summary

Knight Federal Solutions is recruiting a seasoned Systems Administrator to maintain and optimize our enterprise IT infrastructure in a secure, TS/SCI environment. You will manage server and network configurations, apply hardening best practices, and support mission-critical systems across Windows and Linux.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure), and strong scripting skills

As a Systems Administrator at Knight Federal Solutions Inc, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations. Your role will involve managing system configurations, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the security of our networks. With a TS SCI Clearance, you will work in a secure environment, supporting critical projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and software applications, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Perform routine system checks and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Implement security measures and protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and deploy system upgrades and enhancements.
• Monitor system performance and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users, addressing their concerns and resolving system-related queries.
• Ensure the integrity and availability of data through regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

Qualifications Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on managing and maintaining enterprise-level IT infrastructure.
• Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Demonstrated experience in network management, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
