Job Purpose:

• The Data Engineer at Knight Federal Solutions Inc will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient data pipelines and architectures to support various business operations and decision-making processes. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to work with complex data sets to transform and integrate data from multiple sources. The ideal candidate will have a TS SCI with CI Poly clearance and a proven track record of leveraging data to drive business insights and efficiencies.
• Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
• Ensure data architecture supports business requirements and is scalable and sustainable.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to improve data quality and accessibility.
• Implement data collection, transformation, and storage strategies to optimize data flow and collection.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
• Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data engineering practices.
• Qualifications Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Required Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Proven track record of working with complex data systems and architectures.
• Experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Demonstrated experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Required Skills and Abilities:
• Active TS SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
