Job summary

Grand Lake Health System is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our enterprise IT team in St. Marys, OH.

The role focuses on maintaining Active Directory, backup/recovery, SQL databases, VMware virtualization, and 365 services to support clinical and business operations. The ideal candidate will manage security platforms, network infrastructures, and patch management while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in information technology or related field.
• Proficient in Windows Server, AD, backup/recovery and virtualization.
• Experience with SQL Server and enterprise storage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Active Directory, including domain controllers, GPOs, DNS, file permissions, and Entra AD sync.
• Manage enterprise backup, replication, and disaster recovery to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Support SQL databases and related services in enterprise environments.
• Maintain VMware vSphere and virtualization platforms, with capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Administer apps and integration servers supporting clinical and business ops.
• Manage security platforms for email, endpoints, and authentication.
• Support file servers, shared storage, and data organization.
• Maintain network infra (WAN, LAN, routers, switches, VPNs, VLANs, wireless) with networking teams.
• Monitor systems and network performance; respond to incidents and proactively address issues.
• Administer remote access platforms for secure connectivity.
• Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
• Patch management and system update services to ensure security and stability.
• Support organization phone systems and telecom services.
• Provide internal app support for EHR, ERP, imaging, reporting, and other systems.
• Ensure licensing compliance for Windows Server, M365, and other enterprise software.
