Job summary

Themis Insight is seeking a System Administrator (SFMT) to operate and maintain hardware and software in Fort Meade, MD. The role requires TS/SCI with a polygraph and involves coordinating with the ISSO to ensure policy compliance.

Responsibilities include patching, vulnerability scanning, account management, and event-based helpdesk support, with travel as needed and hands-on tech in Windows, Linux, and web server management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and five years’ SA experience are required.
• Two years of experience with modern operating systems and network architectures.
• Two years of experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development and design, risk assessments, IA metrics gathering.
• Must meet DoD Directive 8570 IAM Level 1 (Security+ at minimum).
• Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel; occasional short trips and longer annual trips.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Experience with Tenable Nessus/ACAS and Trellix (McAfee).
• Understanding of DNS; Linux CLI; Windows Servers; Bash and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Nginx and Apache Web Server management; basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 1 helpdesk support at an annual exercise event.
• Collect and transfer files between networks.
• Manage user accounts.
• Apply and verify patches on Windows and Linux systems.
• Update Trellix ePO security files.
• Run and review vulnerability and compliance scans.
• Manage configuration control of IT assets.
• Coordinate with event locations to ensure access.
