Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia is hiring a System Administrator to join the Division of Public Safety. You will manage the Division's IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, active directory, and security tooling, while coordinating with partners and staff to ensure reliable operations.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Security Technology, you will provide tier-2 IT support, supervise a direct report, and drive technology solutions that advance safety objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 2–3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Experience with Windows, server and desktop administration, systems security.

Responsibilities

• Serve as systems administrator for the Division of Public Safety.
• Provide system management by handling Windows server/desktop administration and security.
• Manage cloud-based, virtual, and physical server environments to support all systems.
• Create user accounts, maintain permissions, ensure system integrity and security via Active Directory.
• Assist in management of vendor service contracts and contracted professional support.
• Develop and implement IT solutions for the Division of Public Safety objectives.

Education

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
