The Divisional IT Systems Administrator, reporting to the ExecutiveDirector of Security Technology, will be a creative self-starterwith a high energy level. Responsibilities include: management ofSaaS and IaaS environment; management of the physical and virtualserver infrastructure; installation, maintenance, and security ofall servers, configuration and management of firewalls, networkswitches, intrusion detection mechanisms to secure ITinfrastructure; development of technology solutions to advance theobjectives of the Division of Public Safety; support other DPS ITstaff and service as tier 2 escalation point for IT infrastructuretroubleshooting; working with identified partners to ensure thattechnology solutions are appropriate and functional within theuniversity; perform regular system administration tasks such as:backup/restore, server monitoring, patch management, systemdocumentation, and recommendation of new technologies forimplementation; and supervision of one direct report, IT SupportSpecialist. The Divisional IT Systems Administrator will supportthe Critical Infrastructure IT Systems Administrator incollaborating with our contracted partners and the Security SystemAdministrator's in maintaining and supporting the electronicsecurity infrastructure including CCTV, access control, burglaralarms, emergency phone systems, and related security technologysystems, emergency telephony, land mobile radio, mobile dataterminals, and proprietary dispatch and police software.
