Job summary

DeKalb Health is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and support county-wide computer systems and networks in Jackson County, Georgia. The role reports to the IT Director and requires on-site work with occasional after-hours support.

Responsibilities include configuring hardware, ensuring security, troubleshooting issues, and providing end-user assistance. Candidates should have a two-year technical education or related experience and knowledge of Windows 10/11, Veeam backups, and

Qualifications

Completion of two-year technical school or two years of college or university credits in core subject.
Proficient experience installing and deploying Windows Desktop 10, 11.
Experience with Veeam or comparable backup solutions.
Experience with virtualization and VDI deployments such as Vmware View or Xendesktop preferred.
Two plus years’ experience with VOIP phone systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Configures and installs computer, peripheral and network equipment.
Maintains security of systems by running antivirus software, deleting unused files, securing equipment to its location, and by other appropriate means.
Troubleshoots computer hardware and software problems.
Maintains hardware and software service, inventory and license records.
Provides technical support to staff in the use of computer systems.
Assists staff in understanding operation of computer, peripheral and network equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
