JT4, LLC is seeking a System Administrator IV to operate and maintain real-time flight-testing systems at Ridley Mission Control Center. You will lead work-center staff, monitor systems, enforce security policies, and perform upgrades across OS and network environments.
The role requires DoD protocol knowledge, active security clearance, and the ability to obtain Security+. Expect nonstandard tours including nights/weekends and possible overtime; strong communication skills are essential.
JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Evaluates system specifications, installs enterprise computer systems, configures systems, establishes standards, ensures hardware/software compatibility and maintains workstations and server systems focusing on the Operating system and the network.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
The System Administrator will operate, maintain and administer real-time flight-testing systems in the Ridley Mission Control Center (RMCC). The System Administrator is responsible for leading work center personnel in resolving real-time mission support anomalies, performing daily system and network monitoring, and providing the status of all work center systems and networks. The System Administrator shall implement and enforce new and update existing network system administration policies. The System Administrator shall identify network and system administration weaknesses and problem areas and provide recommendations for corrective actions, must have the knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot data and telecommunication networks and equipment. The candidate, as the subject matter expert, will develop, modify, and review Operating Instructions for general network and system administration tasks within the work center. The candidate will perform maintenance, configuration, and administration functions on all required support systems. The candidate will perform various tasks regarding Media Management to ensure customer requests are fulfilled, inventory is tracked, and documentation is accurate. The candidate will perform additional duties as required.

This job is performed at the RMCC, in a real-time mission support environment. The candidate must be willing to work nonstandard tours of duties, which include nights, weekends, and overtime. The overtime may be short or no notice. Demonstration of a successful adaptation to a similarly demanding environment is a plus. The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written is highly desired.
Experience in a cross-utilized environment that supports real-time operations, an active DoD Secret security clearance or higher, and a current CompTIA Security+ certification.
Finally, the successful candidate must be a team player. We are seeking a candidate who is eager to learn and is equally eager to share his/her knowledge to strengthen the team.
A bachelor’s degree in associated discipline from an accredited academic institution or equivalent experience through technical training, completion of a recognized certification program, or experience. Requires at least nine (9) years of experience in computer system related areas of expertise and must possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems.

The expected salary range for this position is $97,000 to $130,000 annually.

JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.
