Job summary

Information Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator II to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline in the Suffolk, VA data center.

The role focuses on configuring and maintaining servers, databases and network elements, with on-site support for the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT). Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or 5 years of equivalent experience, plus IAT II-related certifications (e.g., Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of equivalent experience in IT/CS or related field.
• Experience with server/desktop OS, databases and network systems.
• Security certifications preferred for government/DoD environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and desktop operating systems, databases and software.
• Monitor server and network systems; supervise facilities and ensure high-quality transmission.
• Direct testing and analysis of system elements including networks, hardware, software and power.
• Troubleshoot system problems; install hardware/software as needed.
• Perform backups, database administration and file recovery.
• Optimize system operation and resource utilization; perform capacity planning.
• Assist users and provide on-site support.

Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a Systems Administrator II to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT).

Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a Systems Administrator II to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT).

This position is 100% onsite.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining server and desktop operating systems, databases, and other software applications. Responsible for supervising the monitoring of server and network systems and facilities.
• Ensures high-quality transmission on network.
• Directs testing and analysis of all system elements including communication networks, associated hardware devices, software, power, communications, lines, modems and terminals.
• Troubleshoot system-related problems. Installs hardware and software, as needed.
• Performs backups, database administration and file recovery.
• Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system-capacity analysis and planning.
• Assists users.
